Unit A participated in this one day workshop led by Building Futures (RIBA) on Architecture and Conflict. At the outset, a catalogue of general questions related to conflict were compiled that became the basis for a discussion about existing site conditions and future potential along the River Thames in central London. In the second stage, smaller working groups visualised scenarios dealing with topics of public/private safety, transport and logistical infrastructures, energy disparity, de-centralised flood defence mechanisms and work-live neighbourhoods.
